Designing Kitchens is what we do best and once a kitchen is completed it is time to enjoy cooking in it and especially eating in it. We found this great “How to” from Pottery Barn that we wanted to share with you all.
Once your kitchen is complete it is the table that sets the stage for entertaining. You want the look of the table to be the completion of what you already enjoy in your kitchen. The following tips may be geared more towards an entertaining setting, however it is fun to dress up your table every once in a while for the family or just the 2 of you. Keep in mind that when you eat it is all about the experience around you and what you are eating off of. Here are a few tips on how to “Set the Perfect Table” courtesy of Pottery Barn:
1. To view the proper way to set a table go to here. Trying to remember which fork goes in what order can be a challenge at times. This picture of the table setting is complete and simple.
2. Adding linens always adds a flare to the table, depending on the time of year depends how festive you would like to be. Using linen napkins, table runner or table cloth adds a nice finishing touch.
3. Glassware depends on how formal you are getting. For a more formal setting use a range of glassware to give options. For a more basic setting add a second wine glass as a nice touch.
4. The little things – from napkin rings, place cards to candles always finish up the look of the table.
We love to create the kitchen, and now it is time for you to create the experience. Pottery Barn certainly offered fun tips and a great look at “How to Set the Perfect Table”.
